A performer, writer, director and teacher in music and theatre, with a PhD specialisation in opera performance, based in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia.

I offer tutoring in piano and in music theory and history for all ages and levels, as well as coaching and proof-reading of essays on performing arts topics from senior high school up to postgraduate level.

I have taught piano part-time for over 18 years. I am also available for hire as an actor, director, researcher, writer and reviewer for music, theatre and all forms of music-theatre, or as a piano accompanist. I am also an experienced arts administrator and am happy to consult and mentor in this area.

From the outbreak of the Covid pandemic in early 2020 I founded Streamed Shakespeare, an innovative online, Sydney-based independent theatre company, and I remain its Artistic Director. In three years we have produced more than 25 productions on a shoestring budget, including full Shakespeare plays, plays by other playwrights, educational roundtable talk shows, original comedy content and more. I have personally directed three staged readings for Streamed Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Winter’s Tale, and George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, and performed as an actor in many more. In November 2023 Streamed Shakespeare will be producing our first live onstage show, Othello, directed by Haki Pepo Olu Crisden. See our website or YouTube channel for more details and more links to our shows!

Before Streamed Shakespeare, I was the founding NSW Arts Coordinator for Extinction Rebellion, organising climate-focused arts and entertainment for protest marches, talks and more.

Prior to this I served as Executive Assistant at Opera Australia, gaining invaluable insights into the opera and performing arts industry. In June 2018 I directed a workshop production of a new musical, HAUNTED (book and lyrics by Roger Gimblett and music by Timothy M. Carter). In September 2018 I directed a new opera-cabaret, Millennial Opera, for the Sydney Fringe Festival (lyrics and production by Allison Tyra).
