I have been acting all my life, starting with endless self-devised plays as a child. I completed a B.Mus.B.A with an Arts major in Theatre Studies at UNSW, while my Ph.D. also focused on the craft of directing and acting. I have recently begun the transition to fully professional, part-time stage and screen acting work, from a background in student and independent theatre.
I am female, of Anglo-Caucasian ethnic background, 169 cm (5’6″) tall, of medium build, with blue-grey eyes and long brown hair. My playing range is 33 – 45 years.
I am trained to advanced/professional level in piano and intermediate level in voice, recorder and cello. I have also had several years’ training in various dance styles. I can perform in a variety of accents (notably Cultured Australian, Broad Australian, RP, Cockney and Standard US) and speak German. I have a special passion for interactive improv theatre. I am also a fast and keen learner of new skills– continual learning is one of the things I love best about acting!
I have my own car transport and am happy to travel to Sydney or Canberra for auditions/roles (approx. 1.5 hrs drive), or nationally/internationally if negotiated.
I have performed as an actor in roles as diverse as Doll Tearsheet, Shakespeare’s potty-mouthed tart with a heart from Henry IV; an exasperated director in a postmoder Pygmalion; real-life Irish-Indian teacher and Hindu nun Margaret Noble/Sister Nivedita in A Champion For India in Kolkata, India; a flapper partygoer in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby; a married woman whose husband is cheating on her in Tropfest entry Who Are You; and the ingenue-turned-stripper Justice in the political farce Vatzlav by Slawomir Mrozek. SHOWREELS
Character reel
These clips were shot from late 2018 through 2019 at the Sydney Actors Association studios. They include dialogue from the following films and TV shows: Dallas Buyers Club, The Bounty Hunter, Bride Wars, Russian Doll, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Proof, Taxi Driver and The Crown. While my natural accent is Australian, US and British accents are featured here.
Streamed Shakespeare ‘Zoom theatre’ showreel
My Streamed Shakespeare showreel includes highlights from the many ‘Zoom theatre on steroids’ productions we have created since March 2020. I remain Artistic Director of Streamed Shakespeare and look forward to our first live onstage production, Othello, in late 2023.
Other video
Who Are You was a Tropfest 27 entry in 2019, directed by Anna Warby, in which I starred as Hayley alongside Corinne Sennit as Jenny and Ben Hamilton as Paul. You can watch the film here.
“Shinneh” by Sydney-based Assyrian band Azadoota is a beautiful song about lost loves. I featured in their videoclip from 3’33” as an actor/pianist in 2018. You can watch the videoclip, starring Robin Zirwanda and directed by Cristina Dio, on YouTube here.
I also perform with my daughter, Clio!
Clio Champion was born in early 2022 and is already gaining valuable experience as a baby actor/model. She is currently a size 1, with striking copper-red hair, pale skin, big blue eyes and a smile that melts hearts.
We sometimes perform as a mother-daughter duo, such as in the upcoming Paramount film The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race.
Clio is represented by Bettina Management.

As Brooklyn flapper and wannabe actress Clara (a roving featured extra) in Beyond Cinema’s interactive, immersive event “The Great Gatsby”, 2018

As Margaret Noble/Sister Nivedita in the play by Madhu Sen, “A Champion for India”, Kolkata, India, 2018. Produced by The Temple of Arts.
